Like every year, the tax payer picks up the bill for the Appleby Horse Fair and has done for many years.
For the Appleby Horse Fair to be pulled off, effectively by everyone involved, someone has to pay the bill and that has always been the British hard working tax payer. This has always been the case and a lot of people have always don’t agree with this but at the end of the day, it’s a whole public event where costs are going to be involved because nobody is going to work for free especially those greedy officials.
We looked into their salaries and it’s shocking how much some of these council officials are paid for being a pen pusher.Â
You will be astonished how much they are paid compared to Police officers and other organisers.Â

Perhaps they should use their huge amount of wages to pay for the clean up bill? Some of these pen pushers at the council are on like over £100k and for what?Â

Who Agrees That The Council Should Pay
With this extra money from the council it could go to help fund our full stay at Appleby and not have to worry about finding a spot to park our homes without having the unsettling feeling of fear and worrying about being thrown a fine and face arrest thanks to the new Police bill. They call that discrimination where I come from.

When it comes to who pays for the Appleby horse fair it should be the council and useless British Government who pays for everything and why you may ask?Â
For allowing the travelling community to be trashed by everyone and for bringing in the new Police bill that makes our lives harder and goes against everything we stand for and lastly, they simply owe us for the damages that they have caused by creating division amongst us and the wider public. What about us? Don’t we get a say in how we live or like the councillors, you just gonna boss people about and dictate how their businesses are run while at the same time taxing them in every way and making things difficult to survive just so you get all the glory.
